I went to a local home improvement store and searched the garden center for plant food but many of them were priced much higher than I was willing to spend until I found these spikes. One of my friends (who also enjoys gardening) came over to my house and was in awe of how big and healthy all of my herbs were. I figured I'd give them a try since they were so inexpensive and wow! The NEXT DAY (4/19), I went back outside to continue working on the beginnings of this season's garden and was COMPLETELY SHOCKED at how much the little buds had grown in less than 24hrs.

I'm no botanical expert, but I'm waving the flag high for this product. Skip to August, and my pothos has undergone a transformation that defies belief. Just pop them in and you don't have to worry about fertilizing for months.

On Monday (4/18), I took a picture of some mint to show my boyfriend that had somehow managed to stay alive through the entire Erie, PA winter in our garage (with no light, water, care, etc -- just sat in the planter), because I couldn't believe that they were still alive. My plants love them.

Let's talk about my lucky bamboo – seven years of stagnant existence. August sneaks in, and suddenly, my bamboo is like a whole new plant. I now use these "plant steroid sticks" (as my boyfriends refers to them as) in all of my plants -- they worked great in my tomato plants this summer, too!

My plants have been loving this ever since I have fed them these food spikes! I was really excited and added a few new spikes to the planter hoping that the little buds would eventually keep growing around the new mint plant (which is in the center of the planter in the picture).
