Michelin Starving

Quality of images are excellent, well above expectations, even with the 18-55mm kit lens. I cannot see any difference between the two cameras and using the canon connect app with an IPad air and Galaxy Tab 8 using the Canon Connect app meant the parents could see the resulting shots straingt away. I am looking forward to using the lighter 750D with the EF-S 24mm f/f2. I do not think I will be letting the 750D go any time soon!

O did some shots with a 5D II using zn EF 85mm f/1. I have only used the wi-fi facility on a couple of occasions to upload some images, but it does appear to work fine with a PC and my imac. It looks a little bit worn, with the odd scratch to the body, but the screen remains really good and scratch free, the camera itself functions faultlessly and is better than new (it just seems more fluid), all of the controls remain functioning perfectly and most of all I like it.

How good is the camera? Recently purchased the camera as i've been wanting to get into photography for some time now, but never got round to making the purchase.

Whilst both had obvious advantages over my 750d, I still felt that at the price and to fit within my limited budget I had made the right decision, particularly over the 7d which whilst is has GPS and an alloy body is of higher quality, it did not have the wifi capability. It is a marked improvement on the 600D. It is noticeably lighter than the 70D but I cannot see the IQ difference between this body and the 70D.

It is early days and I dare say that someone will write a much better and technical review over the coming weeks. Only negative is the lack of direct link to PC/Desktop via wi-fi but there are fixes for this.

These improvements are due to a number of factors which include:More focussing points (19 versus 9)Touch screen(focusses where I touch) (easier to control the camera)Larger screen (brighter too)Flip out screen (makes it easier to view, particularly when using the Sigma 10-20 at low level)Shoots much faster 5fps as opposed to 3fpsHigher resolution 24Mega pixel as opposed to 18Mega pixel (really (seriously) noticeable when you crop images))Light sensitivity improvement 25,600 ISO from 6400 ISO (offers fantastic flexibility in low light situations or where speed is of the essence - 2 stops better)In regards to the 550d the video function is far better and operates much more smoothly, focussing faster and keeping subjects in focus even when moving away/towards the camera. Battery life not as good as the 550 but still very good.

It terms of functionality and control, apart from the excellent tilting touch screen facility, it is similar to operate as the 550d and previous generations. 20 Months OnI bought this body early in Jan 2016 as a back up to my main kit and it has been joined by an EOS 80D ad an EOS M5. I have paired it with my canon 15-85mm lens and I couldn't be happier. Simply love it.
