It was a lot of family stuff, but well worth it. Horrified by his family and the things they do. I will definitely be purchasing more books from this author. They’re deep in the woods, on a farm, where the police don’t come to ask questions about the missing girls.

I read this due to the high praises from @thecrimebookshelf and just had to bump it up on my TBR list! How they survive. Still, a solid read by the author with the biggest set of balls since Clive Barker.

He doesn’t have the blood lust that seems to possess them. I finished it in like a week, and couldn’t put it down. :) super excited to read this! I admire Ahlborn’s writing skills more than her ability to sustain a well-paced narrative.

I could not seem to put it down but had to take a couple breaks and think "what the hell did I just read" I will be reading more by Ania Ahlborn I enjoyed her writing style a lot. He doesn’t enjoy the screams of fear and pain from the girls they bring home.

All I knew of Brother was that it had an effed up ending that’s typical with this author, and I love her for it. The third act of the story is a tightrope of tension that leads to a redneck Shakespearean tragedy.
