About this deal
The Marshalltown M28393 Drywall Patch has an aluminium plate that provides a rigid backing. All other products 1/2 day processing time. Orders that contain draper or silverine products allow for the extra time to process and pack. Fibreglass mesh eliminates the need to pre-plaster. All Silverline and Draper branded products have 2/3 day processing time. The patch is self-adhesive and won't rust.

Needed to patch a hole where a flue used to go before I had the boiler moved. I am very happy with the end result.
Used two coats of Gyproc ready-mixed filler, then two coats of undercoat/primer, and finally two coats of ceiling paint. The patch could be slightly more adhesive, as others have said, but it's okay.
These patches looked just the job (easier than fixing pieces of wood behind the hole, then cutting a piece of plasterboard to fit and attaching that to the aforesaid wood then filling).
