I put a board on the floor but the back of the wardrobe then rubs on the slats, so you can't win! The desk is a good size can easily fit my boys gaming pc on it. Most sections were made in another room and brought in, the end screws are mostly hex-head so can be tightened easily with limited space, but a couple of screws at the back corners are standard philips heads and were very tricky to fully tighten. I ended up planning it down and moving the handle down.

On the subject of building it, the instructions claim it will take two people 4-hours. I would also recommend you have drill there is no way i could of done all that with a screwdriver.
