2) It might appeal to people who wouldn’t normally pick up The Bible which would be great. The shortening of the stories can be frustrating.
I’m sure this book will appeal to some people and if it draws new readers to The Word of God then that’s a good thing. Nor are you told about Jacob having his name changed to Israel. 1) It keeps encouraging it’s readers to read The Bible for further information with appropriate references. It would of course be easy to pull apart a book like this.
