You have to persevere but it works! But the plasters do not stick very well, so we just used fabric plasters to keep in place.

I personally use Hibi Scrub to clean the spot then wash my hands in the shower as it is a hospital grade sanitiser. Make sure it's the last thing you touch in the shower just to be on the safe side. Researching this is frustrating as you are met with lots of weird stuff like duct taping your feet or some "home remedies" from blog posters who swear by vinegar and potatoes.

In fact the plasters are very sticky indeed. The only reason I can think of reviews where they are reported to fall off "immediately" is that they haven't been applied to clean skin. This stuff is amazing.
