Definitely not a children's book! It can be amusing to read.

Probably not something the youth of today will remember with any degree of nostalgia but my husband has been a great fan of both characters since childhood and as soon as I saw this book by Albert Algoud I knew he’d love it. 1 x 1. I detested Tin Tin but my 60 year old husband loved it, the book put a smile on his face - his 90 year old father also loves it.

I imagine that the best use for this book is for adults who used to read TinTin passing down their books to their offspring then using this book to look up words as they are reading along together. Some of the descriptions are serious with a very funny slint, you will find yourself smiling n smirking alongside the good Captain. From his more common Blistering Barnacles, Thundering Typhoons to various other phrases used by the seabearing opionated drunken.

Firstly I don't feel that this book will be for just anyone, you really have to have knowledge of who Captain Haddock is and preferably seen and heard him in action. Haddock said his most popular phrases.
