I really like that it has a drain down feature for when not in use for longer periods of time. I hope this machine doesn't break down because we can no longer start the day with it. Temperatures are incredibly reproducible.

This machine does not. You do have to clean it to keep it free from build up. There is a unique low water indicator.

The selection knob works backwards - when you turn the knob clockwise, the selections move from right to left. In the long history, only one machine has ever acted up - that original D290, it actually still works, it just had trouble with preheating sometimes. My wife has a Pixie at school.

It’s also very easy to keep clean, the pods drop into a removable drawer and any excess liquid is collected in the base at front which is also removable. No need to do anything except put milk in the jug and put it under the wand. Starting with a D290 that was retired four years ago after making thousands of Nespresso. It replaced a previous machine of the same model so fortunately I could use the drip tray from that one, otherwise I would have had it a week and not been able to use it.

By far, the best machine of all that I have ever used is this Creatista Plus. Excellent machine, will buy again when this one gives up. I have owned and own many Nespresso machines. I initially purchased one that was broken on delivery from AOL I kept getting an error message saying water tank wasn’t in place.

Did lots of research and the best thing about this machine is the coffee/milk choice available and the small number of items to remove and clean. You can also use the machine without pods to make tea and the milk frother to make hot chocolate, it’s quite versatile, we never use the kettle anymore.

Not 100% accurate, more like about 10 seconds from completely off to actually delivering espresso or steaming milk. And it produces the correct temperature right from the very first espresso made. For each of those drinks, the milk temperature and amount of foaming can be adjusted. The milk wand purges itself after every use so the only thing you need to do is wipe it down and remove the milk before it does that.
