The idea is that you stick one end to the snitch and the other end to some other anchoring surface–this could be to your clothing, watch, wall, etc. By the way, if my review was helpful to you in choosing or not choosing this product, please consider clicking on the "was this review helpful" link at the end of this review—this motivates me to write more reviews! The replacement threads are available as after prolonged use they naturally break but that’s why it’s so good because the threads are manufactured to a tiny width so you can’t see them.

5v LR44/AG13 included), and the very thin and painted flexible plastic wings flap in a very fast motion up and down when you click on the black on/off switch. I thought it would be fun to have it as a cake topper for my daughter's party and then delight guests as the Snitch takes off on its own as we get ready to cut the cake! This Wow!

We’ve had great fun playing with this toy – plus it even comes with a small display plinth so we can have it on show when we’re not using it too! I am still not expert enough to make the snitch look like it is flying on its own, but hopefully I will get there. The Snitch unit itself is hand-painted and given a test flight before packaging.
