In the past I had very good experience in buying Amazon Basics products, and this cable is very affordable (unlike the over priced cables I see everywhere), so I bought this cable and it works better than the original cables that came with the external hard drives. Very build quality is excellent and ive been using all the time since i received it - very long time ago!

Build quality-wise it's pretty hard to fault this cable. As already mentioned, I use the cable for my external hard drives. ?

Unfortunately, AmazonBasics currently has fewer 2nd USB 3. Finally found the right one. In a test with a LaCie Rugged Mini HDD and my old MacBook with USB 3.

However, rather than buy another dongle/adapter I discovered this lead that fits perfectly. I've bought several Amazon Basics cables over the years and I suspect I'll continue to buy more of them too as they really are great cables. 1 or even USB 2. solid cable and should last forever.

5 hdd to my Samsung phone. Recommended 5* Although future hard drives will probably come on the market with a USB C connector, this cable will definitely be equipped for the future.

Now that it can connect via a USB-C port using this cable, there SHOULD be no more USB 3 power problems. this really did the job. The device works as advertised and the laptop recognised the HDD straight away. This means that the cable, regardless of the existing connectors, supports a theoretical data rate of up to 10 Gbps.
