230v will be fine just so to hold the wires for help. You can't say more than you already know, the brand speaks for itself. Use it for holding the wires not for crimping or twisting the cores of the wires and not strippers. Do not intend to use on 1000v but atleast a.

It came in a thin bag wrapped in brown paper inside cardboard box. Little bulky compared to metal needle nose but you get use to the size.
