I don’t foresee myself un-clipping it as I don’t want to damage it anymore than it is. * I'm updating this review May 2012, see comments. Reptar (My pup) loves the igloo. The two halves snap into place with sturdy plastic tabs.

I will probably be getting the Large one next as he is most likely going to outgrow this one. My dog is so so about it, I'm sure he'll grow to like it with the pad in place and plenty of treats.

* The doghouse seems pretty secure, and roomy inside. Everything on the outside looked ok. * There is a vent area near the top back.

Info about the product:* I was pleased to see the bottom section is deep enough that I didn't have to worry about rain 'sliding' into the doghouse, as my porch gets very puddle-ish in heavy rain. I will update this in a few months with where we are at in terms of growth. I also got the body-heat mat for the inside, and the door (I'm reviewing those on their own product pages).

I didn't even know carrier services could deliver boxes that big. I bought this for the 3-4 cats that live on my porch, for the winter. No complaints, Reptar loves it.

I haven’t bought the door for it, I thought it was included. And I didn’t buy the mat, but I will purchase that next.

This item came to me already assembled. The inside is spacious. It really is just thin hard rubber and those tabs have a 'flex point' built in obviously to allow them to move a little, so those probably aren't real robust.
