It installs under the carpet directly onto the metal or other layers of solid soundproofing. I am doing a campervan so it is part and parcel of my noise and heat insulation.

LOL Great product easy to apply and use i have a swb midtop vwt5, one pack of this covered nearly all ceiling except for another 8 sheets i need to get so not much for money really. It made a very noticeable difference.

It is expensive especially if you go over the top, like me. . Made a huge difference to my van, almost no rattles now Don't really need to cover all the panels like I have.

Simply peel, stick and roll a patterned sound proofing roller over the top for maximum adhesion. I used 3 sq metres of the Kilmat to reduce the road noise in my MX5. Road noise is significantly quieter. Clean panels and remove the backing warm up with hair dryer or heat gun and it becomes nice and flexible and very sticky.

It comes in rectangles that are self adhesive on one side and silver on the other. Good and makes a real difference to vibration in panels and roof etc.
