These are a little larger, mainly they are deeper than the KB15 speakers, but they totally transformed this system. For instance, I love to love by Tina Charles and Brown Girl in the Ring by Boney M, all sounded really good. I could be wrong.

I'd say closer to 86db as I had to turn up the volume a touch after listening to the Monitors. I went with the Klipsch after listening to both. Well I have been very disappointed in my Martin Logan LX 16 speakers, (I will be selling them) I had purchased three years ago, so I was in the market for new bookshelf speakers.

But I suppose that is neither here nor there. Are there stand mount speakers that sound better? I have them bi-amped with a Sony STR DN1080 and I couldn’t be happier. Amazing sound stage.

The black ash is lovely. Aside from TV usage I listen mostly to radio, podcasts, rock, old school hip hop and classical music.

It made less well recorded music listenable. Like any speaker the quality of your amp and pre amp can make these speakers sing and either make them sound harsh or smooth.

They pair up nicely with the klipsch RP 450c front speakers. You simply cannot go wrong here even at full price. A note about the claimed sensitivity; 96db.

If you want rumbling, you'll need a sub but I found they worked just fine without one for me. These higher end speakers went on sale for $440 and I am extremely happy with them.
