I liked that the main focus of this book was in an entirely different part of the world, introducing different species’ of penguins while still getting updates about the penguin colony in Antarctica. I feel like everyone needs to know about Mrs McReedy. The settings of Veronica's home in Scotland and the fictional islands in Antarctica and the Falklands are portrayed beautifully and of course, once again, the penguin stars of the story are absolutely charming. I couldn’t wait to be back with Veronica, although I admit to a little trepidation that I might not love this book as I did the first one.
