I work in a childrens library and this book really stands out to me. As an artist and parent, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE LITTLEST YAK - IT'S PERFECT FOR THE DAYS WE ALL FEEL A BIT LIKE THE YAK AT THE BACK OR OUR YOUNGEST CHILD DESPERATELY WANTS TO BE SEEN AND WE CAN WATCH BE UPLIFTED BY A STORY THAT SHOWS THEM IT'S GREAT TO BE EXACTLY WHO THEY ARE - BIG ENOUGH WITHIN XXX

It is full of gorgeous rhyme and the best illustrations of adorable Gertie. It appeals to a wide range of ages and the rhyming doesn't feel cringey at all! This gorgeous rhyming story from Lu Fraser (with blissful artwork from Kate Hindley) celebrates little-ness, and urges the child reader not to be in too much of a rush to grow up! A must-buy book this winter!

Adorable book, really easy to read and a lovely story. The story has a super message for little ones, and with its stunning illustrations and adorable text, this is a book I am sure I will be reading over and over again. The Littlest Yak is the perfect snuggly read for January.

There’s just something immediately endearing about a tiny yak and this is beautifully built on by the illustrator’s brilliant way of showing the yaks wearing woolly hats and snug cloaks — what’s not to love?
