The fact that the battery lasts so long, I really don't have to worry about charging the battery often if I keep it on the light and toss it in the truck. Also, the brightness is amazing for a light at this price point.

I definitely encourage you to purchase this if you're on the fence about a flashlight this one is super bright. I think at one time it was available with the red LED but no longer.

All in all I am satisfied with all three. Contrary to what the product description states this model DCL043 did not have a red LED night vision friendly output.

The DCL043 is just way too bright for inside work even on the low setting. They all have their own strong points.

I am very happy with my DeWalt LED 20 volt Max flashlight. Oversl great product. I have a large acreage and I bought this flashlight to spot animals and whatnot on my property in the dark when I hear a noise on my property I like to know what's going on. Would buy again.

Best used in wide open spaces. And I love that it goes with the dewalt battery that we already have! It's great, does what you want, and plenty bright.
