Glossy paper would have also improved the quality of the images. While I can appreciate authenticity, a bit of retouching here and there would have been welcome.
And some photos are from the Kodachrome era and seem both faded and over bright at the same time. Overall, a good and interesting read, but if you're more interested in the visuals you might be a bit disappointed.
The photo portion is a bit disappointing. The history of London obviously predates photography by many centuries, so many of the pictures are reproductions of drawings and paintings.
