I knew nothing of this book before Jocko Willink discussed it on his podcast, and thank goodness that he did. This book drew me in immediately and I had a tough time putting it down. It’s very well written and one of the best books I’ve read to date. Great character development, good descriptions of the areas visited, and has definitely stood the test of time.

Following Musashi’s life is a rollercoaster of learning and struggle. This is a book that I would describe as essential for the reader in you life, and a purchase that I am extremely happy with. Highly recommend the hardcover for those who enjoy the physical copy.
