Yeah right. I shall be claiming on the warranty before it expires next summer. UPDATE two years later:This is still a great but of kit. The box fills to the very top.

This lump of plastic actually looks pretty good. No yanking at the starter cord. Nasty. What a joke.

Longer grass flusters this mower less than my powerful petrol one. Other manufacturers modify their existing mowers most of the time. It is also way lighter than my rear roller Mountfield, so much so that today I cut all the grass and barely used the self propel function.

I gingerly open it and lift out a big lump of plastic. Luckily Ego now have one on their website and when it becomes available I shall get one and fit it. One of the batteries is a bit dodgy. Come on, mowers need to be aluminium or steel.

It might be made of plastic but it is very solidly engineered. I unlock the handle and it clicks into place.

The lockdown has warped by brain! Where cars are concerned, yes.

I just didn't need to. Who falls for this rubbish?
