Really happy that this worked straight away with very little set up at all. Plug and play. It is still adequate for most domestic uses apart from 4k (ie UHD) streaming.

I’ve got this so I could extend my Wi-Fi out to the garage so my electric charging point (PodPoint) and electric car (Tesla) could be connected to the Wi-Fi. The powerline units can be set up quickly and easily if you follow the instructions – however if you want to have a secure powerline network then you will need to use TP-Link's application to configure the security. 2% packet loss no drop.

This particular unit is an extension unit for an existing powerline configuration. Reliable! Sometimes electrically noisy devices, such as electric drills or motors on washing machines or tumble dryers, will cause interference on the mains wiring, compromising the capabilities of powerline units.

The existing Wi-Fi signal basically doesn't reach the garage and it's not usable. . Bought this product for my back garden office. Im feeling disappointed about speed but it is not related to the product, its related to powerline cable quality.

The signal strength is very good and the speed is good for calls, but I would invest in something more substantial if you are looking for hire download and transfer speeds. It has taken my Internet upstairs from bordering on unusable to "very fast" according to speed tests. It's important NOT to plug in the powerline unit via a surge-protected socket as that will block most of the data signal that they need to function.

This brand, TP link I have been using for quite few years, updated for new product which provides faster speed. Still affected by internet bandwidth on main connection. TP-Link powerline adaptors utilise the mains wiring as a form of built-in network cable so that you don't need any additional cabling to be installed. First photo is download speeds straight from the Rueter, second photo is download speeds from the extender.
