Most of my chicken use it. The pack comes complete with a bracket similar to a hanging basket hanging bracket and a chain with hooks, either can be used. I saw seeing at least one every day for nearly two weeks before I purchased the feeders. Note that I live next to a wood and my coop backs onto the wood.

The protection there with the closing slides doesn't feel very sturdy. I am happy with the support and treatment by the manufacturer. I started using the Rat Proof Poultry Feeder with Pest Repellent.

I fill the feeders every two or three days for my six girls depending on whether I let them into the woods. Product so far has been great.

My husband has a day/night movement camera which I borrowed to see if the feeders were genuinely rat proof. The new items have a 3 or 4 mm yellow plate showing enabling the girls to feed very well. I bought 1 about a month ago and right off the bat the chickens new what to do.

I normally used poultry spice and garlic powder but have found that they cause the feed to block so I have stopped using this except mixed with their treats. But I will have to wait and see what happens if the rats try to jump. It’s is true, it is rat proof ! I had 177 photos during this time but NO RATS OR MICE.
