You will also get a notification to say your pet has been fed at the scheduled time and also be notified if the food is getting low. However, one thing is that this only provides food under their "cup" unit and cannot really customise the exact amount given :( You have to work out the amount of food needed to their "cup" unit and sort out. The minor inconvenience is that it needs to be connected to power, so a nearby accessible socket outlet is essential. The feeder is well made and looks and functions perfectlyHighly recommend to anyone who has to go to work and have a four legged friend at home.

I suspect that a really greedy dog would just destroy the machine, however. While it isn’t the nicest looking machine, it works well and has been dependable. He can hear the feeder so knows when it's time for a treat.

Portions can be dispensed specifically as required and if you have a greedy dog (for example) who is happy to eat so fast he/she is sick (yes, I've had one of those) you can adjust the feeding to use a slow feed option which can take up to 15 minutes to dispense. Overall, this is exactly the solution we were looking for.

Low food / empty hopper alerts are a useful added feature. This product is very well made, with good finish that looks nice, and not at all ugly. I can only surmise the problem was that I hadn’t placed the conveyor back correctly because as soon as I had I was able to move it – after 4 attempts!
