Notably, these shoes were comfortable regardless of thickness of wool socks i wore. I use them for gym, walking the neighborhood on pavement, light jogging, and then for heavily-loaded-backpack hikes on muddy, filthy terrain as depicted here. Took them through some fairly thick mud last weekend did a number of creek crossings never had any issues very comfortable on my feet.

These shoes never let my feet get wet inside (though i did wear rain gear when needed). used for walking. They are significantly warmer and do not breathe as much as the standard lone peaks, so that is a trade-off that you will make for adding the waterproof-ness. This is my fourth pair of ALTRAs and the best of them all.

After first use appears to have slightly less grip than my previous Inov8 boots (see photo for tread patterns). Love these shoes they've always kept my feet dry.

Being waterproof they're very warm. Fit felt wonderful from first wear. However, I was, at one point, walking on a challenging muddy slop. I'll be buying these again when these wear out.

Just the right amount of cushion and the zero-drop allows for feeling the ground and the right gait. Fully waterproof and remarkably light, with some ankle support but not overly so.
I've been a long time fan of the Altra lone peak shoes and these are no exception. These held up incredibly well for a 19 day Alaskan adventure complete with hikes through the tongass National forest, lots of rocky terrain, coastal environment. Wide toebox prevents bruided toenails (reason for purchase) and all round comfortable fit.
