Chestnut Products - Cellulose Sanding Sealer

- Sanding Sealers also bind the loose fibres of the timber together giving a more solid foundation for the next coat, which helps make sure the final finish is able to adhere properly and thus be more durable.
- They also include a sanding agent which acts as a lubricant to make the sanding process easier – the sanding agent also stands slightly proud of the surface of the sealer and it is this that is de-nibbed – the sealer itself should still be intact after sanding.
- This not only makes it more economical; when finishing, the thinner the applied coat the less likely it is to get damaged, so a sanding sealer will help the top coats be more resilient.
- It seals the open pores of the timber prior to the application of the next coat, meaning that more of it stays on the surface and less of the finish is needed.

I use this with the "heavy duty" variable speed transformer unit. I got good at replaceing sandpaper after 5 min or so.

I do whish that I could put more pressure on the vibrating tip, I kinda have to give medium pressure and wait for the sand paper to do its work. (I like to set my speed at 75-90%) I bought 2 pens because i found that the pen get hot after time.

The media could not be loaded. Works well with the power supply I've got before from the same brand to control the speed. Perfect kit for handcrafts works and DIY.

Before I had this I'd get finger cramps from fine sanding all day at work. Yes, it goes thru sand paper pretty quick,(buy your own sticky back sand paper) it's a small contact area, vibrating 80x faster that your hand. The sanding pens have saved my fingertips! (Use one while the other cools down) I also am using it to do a lot of fine sanding.
