Very well written and down to earth cruelty and tragedy. Yes the story flits back and forth between 1939 and the 1970s but I felt it flowed relatively smoothly and for me it was a real page turner I read it in just over 1 day. Part 335 years have passed for Chrissie at Briar Farm in Ireland.

The story of two women born decades apart whose paths are destined to cross all because of a letter written by Billy Stirling in 1939. I've just finished this book called "The Letter" and it was so romantic and heartwarming yet it had upset and tragedy. Marvellous, I couldn't put it down for well over the first half.

She is an abused wife who works at the shop as a volunteer to escape her husband Rick. She still thinks of Billy and what might have been.

I still enjoyed it very much, worth checking out. Something has been on his mind for many long years and he needs to find answers. When Tina reads the old letter from Billy to Chrissie for the first time, she recognized instantly that the story behind is far more complicated than a simple apologizing act. This final section is heart-breaking and through reading it I experienced a whole host of emotions mainly anger and sorrow.

His loving parents support him all the way as he sets off on a journey across the globe. Like so many other great love stories, the good girls are rewarded with happiness at the end.
