Anyway, it did as good as one of the BBQ pizza ovens people getWith the heat under the stone the issue will always be there of overheating the base, a proper pizza over has the heat at the sideThis one will do me for now until I get a chance to build a pizza oven! First time I tried it I had it in ideal heat zone but it took 10 mins to cook, the second we put a small furnace underneath on the BBQ and the heat gauge went round and started again!

Takes a bit of getting used to and there is an issue with the base over cooking, but this was the same in my friends pizza oven from B&Q, we had them side by side. .
Going to try again after i have purchased a second stone to sit on top of the first, or might try the pizza on a tray then on the stone. Best pizza result I have ever had barring the base, but still tasted amazing.
