So I sold my old saw and bought this. The saw is more than powerful even when cutting red oak or for that mater purple heart. Beautiful Saw and Love the Gravity Cart! It is awesome.

I was surprised that they don't glide that well. I no longer have to to pull my miter saw away from the wall when using it in a small space. Bosch - without hesitation is sending a new chute. This saw more than meets all my needs in these areas.

I recieved the miter saw to day and one part is broken picks to show damage A beautiful saw came to a stop because of plastic. I knew that I needed something more heavy duty, powerful and accurate when I upgraded but didn't want to spend over $750 on something.

In fact, at first I was taken aback a little since I was not anticipating how freely it would glide. That of course was every easy, loosen 4 screws with the allen wrench included straight it, and tighten the screws.

I've been using the saw and really love the gliding mechanism. The chute is plastic and attaches at four points. I'd never thought any compound sliding miter could replace my Makita, it being tried and true even compared to so many other saws on the market, and those saws used in the field, (co-workers in fine trim carpentry skilled trade), I've have many times used another saw for being convenient, finding them just barely suited for exacting cuts, the need to be more so careful in making cuts as compared to the Makita, but with the Makita starting to fail in regards to so many years use, and its brake failing, I decided to pro-act, rather than wait for its demise at an inopportune time, I purchased this new type of Glide, vs Slide, compound miter. There’s a lot of reviews out there stating the tables aren’t level/square.
