Absolutely loved this book. It all starts will a small painting of the queens that was last seen in the 80s, until on a visit the queen spots it and wants to know how it ended up there , then the unfortunate murder of the head housekeeper and the under hand dealings of some of the staff at Buckingham palace, this is a brilliant story and very well written

Rozie the queen’s assistant personal secretary (APS) is hot on her heels to help investigate and solve the unfortunate accident/murder in the pool room and puts herself in some rather difficult situations from going down into the cellars and coming face to face with two unscrupulous men to going to Holtos house all alone ( a man she has never met but finds she really likes) . It sounded like a rather unlikely read, the queen been an amateur sleuth is rather unlikely but the author has got this right.
