See photo. I used it all semester, and it barely got smaller. The eraser flips out through one edge. I really love these, they don't get ran down fast and they don't make that scratchy noise some erasers make, and they're cheap for a pack of 4.

I imagine the full erase should last you a couple of years? Last semester, I took out my pencil case that I still have from my college days (yes I still have the same one from 22 years ago and yes I'm a hoarder, at least according to my wife), and inside was a Staedtler eraser (presumably from 22 years ago as well), and it still worked awesome.

The media could not be loaded. I like them, are not perfect, but it will work with some pencils Like someone else mentioned, one of the erasers is inside a plastic eraser holder.
