5mm as is the standard audio output of many phones, motherboards, etc. Review! Or adapter thing.

Great pair of headphones. These things don't end in a normal headphone plug, it's very large and you need to buy your own adapter thing to be able to plug it in.

-They are comfortable. I OBVIOUSLY would never hurt these things intentionally, but accidents happen. I use these daily both for casual music listening and for semi-professional audio work, connected to an amp and mic. For the 559 you have to go spend $3 or less at your local computer or electronics store, which isn't very expensive but it's just not as convenient.

The 558 included a 1/4" to 3. And it looks in pristine condition, so I'm happy. It happened. If you find them on sale don't hesitate.
