This is supposed to be a pocket guide after all. The appendix is a nice addition. Why did the author not decide on any order apart from the continent groups? It includes a collection of international flags, signalling flags, as well as a graphical explanation of the semaphore signaling system.

The structure is maddening, but the rest makes up for it. The order of the continents themselves is arbitrary, but this is irrelevant in my opinion. The book is a softcover and and the outside and the pages are really sturdy.

)The irritating part is that inside of the continent sections there is absolutely no logic behind the order of the flags. I think my package was thrown! Very well organised, has all countries in respective continents.

The media could not be loaded. However, I agree with other reviews that the structure is horrible.

Of course this info is only superficial, due to the space limitation. In the front there is a very brief introduction into flag structure, symbolism history, and also a quick flag identification guide ordered by flag structure and colors.

I don't see the pattern, which is crazy. It is not alphabetical by country names, nor by age of the current flag version, nor by latitude or longitude of the country, nor by size of the country. Each continent section is prefaced by an enumerated map showing all the countries that are included in the section (Nice! Nice!

Instead, it is absolutely necessary to consult the index everytime to find a specific flag, because the order makes absolutely no sense. (I also don't mind that for some countries, the official flag is followed by a short section including all the country's regional flags.
