It even helped me when I got to college and took English History for a grade! I will be reading more by her ASAP. I spent many a night reading my aunt's hard copy by flashlight under the covers back when I was a teen with a bedtime! I know a lot from my history degree about the Tutor dynasty (more Henry 8 and less Henry 7), and I wanted to learn more about the Plantagenets', so I hoped to pick a book that was readable.

This is her story. This is one of those books you will want to read many times.

I am SO glad I did because Seton (RIP) was a fantastic writer. I am an English history buff, and reading Katherine was like nirvana! It is the most romantic, obstacle ridden love story I have ever read, with the possible exception of Scarlett and Rhett.

I love historical fiction, and even better, a historical fiction novel that has been greatly researched for accuracy. I had never read anything by Anya Seton, and I bought this book on a whim. What they said.

Katherine is rarely mentioned, other than as his mistress. It is long book but you won't want it to end. world lost a true talent when Anya Seton left it.
