I've tried masing tape, bulldog clips, but in trying these clips I knew straight away that I'd finally found the product I've been looking for. They hold the paper in place tightly with the ability to make small adjustments for aligning when drawing a grid, without damaging the paper. They also work for different size drawing board thicknesses.
