Keep it cool folks I used my temperature gun to show the difference between the temp of the air it pushes out compared to the air it pumps down the pipe. Even though I knew the unit would be noisy, I was not prepared for how noisy it is (although, probably not noisier than other units). I have found sticking the exhaust out an open window and closing the curtains is effective enough for now.

With the unit running longer, I found the temperature dropping to comfortable levels of 24 and even 23 degrees. Coming back home on a day surpassing 30ºC, and be able to cool down in front of some cold air is an unmatched experience. An AC unit will always cause noise.

However I am sure some could cope, similar to white noise. I have not used the remote control since it has not been necessary; the control panel on top of the unit is very easy to use. The unit is also taller than I expected, but nothing too extreme.

But we have watched TV with it only a few feet away without much problem. Just thought I’d write a review because it’s always better buying something when someone tells you it’s worth it.
