I included pics of 2 pages I found very interesting. If you think pregnancy is a time to slack on your diet and indulge, I recommend you pick up this book and give that notion a hard second look.

I’m a culinary teacher with some prior knowledge of food nutrition and found myself very impressed with this book. Even if you can afford to eat grass fed beef and lamb for lunch, which would be amazing, I would be cooking nonstop if I ate like this. This book frustrates me.

My favorite line from the book is something to the effect of, "You are literally creating a brain from scratch. I like the way it is written, in a sort of textbook style with titles breaking down each component from nutrients like proteins and fats, to food categories like fish and poultry. There are also suggested exercises to support your body, minimize excessive weight gain, and most importantly how to beat nourish your baby throughout pregnancy. This book is a must read during pregnancy to know how your food and supplementation is directly contributing the the growth of your baby, what signs and symptoms to look out for and what testing to request from your doctor.
