5ft. Now they are portable, but not as light as the aluminium step ladders, but as that makes them far more sturdy, we are happy with that. I needed a ladder that I could use to access my loft.

The base of the ladders has rubber caps to avoid sliding, and as long as we ensure the rungs are locked in place before putting a foot on them, they feel super secure, indoors or out. This done the job perfectly, and it folds up neatly so I can store it away easily and quickly. My tip with this is to collapse the ladder at a shallow angle so doesn't snap shut too quickly.

Since we purchased them just over a week ago, they have been used numerous times, mainly by my partner outdoors, and have proved to be an excellent purchase. Why would I pay £150 for a Werner combo ladder when again I'm not a tradesperson recouping expensive tool costs. Just mind the pinkies.

Quite quite varying prices and from numerous reviews there are users who have 'no fingers left' after closing them. Strong, secure, compact for storage, and portable. Lifting them up and carrying upstairs, for instance, is ease enough using both hands; and setting up and securing them, done in minutes.

Only 75cms tall and 47 wide folded so easily fits in a cupboard. When we were discussing buying new ladders, we both had different ideas of where and when we'd use them; my partner was thinking outdoors, cleaning windows etc. Man ladders are expensive!

Brilliant set of ladders well worth u investing in a pair here's a few of my art works for u to see I however was more interested in decorating, access to the attic, curtain hanging etc. We always seem to be short of is space; yes we have a shed and a garage but they are always full; so the fact that these ladders fold down into a compact flat pack is also very helpful. Excellent, and compact
