You can however download a software that forces it to change the volume in 1% increments though. I have it within reach and I can adjust the volume and pause the playback.

I didn't have any problem plugging in. My new mechanical keyboard unfortunately has no volume control knob or media buttons.

The media could not be loaded. Highly recomend. The volume knob has a robust feel to it, with nice tactility on each notch a is it rotates. The setup was a breeze with my MacBook Pro, I simply plugged it in and it worked with no setup required.
