If you've an intricate die that the Gemini doesn't cut fully (even using Gemini's recommended 'sandwich'), you could use a large-format manual machine (if you own one) so as to have the space to rotate your 'sandwich' by 90 degrees to get the "faint" bits directly under the sides of the manual rollers (where the pressure is greatest). Even though the top layer of the magnetic shim has crumpled and cracked through use (one month's light use for paper crafting), I give this a top rating because of tidy size, ease of use and operation and the precision with which it cuts.

Die cutting machine. The Gemini could do with turning itself off automatically after an interval (say, 20 minutes) as it stays on until you turn it off. Regarding the notorious Gemini problem "the plates warp and much too soon", of course follow Gemini's recommended rotation of plates, but consider upgrading to the Gemini heavy-duty plates:1. I recommend this mini machine.

Love that the Gemini die-cuts almost always (note: almost) in one pass only. The machine is super easy to use even if the instructions don't explain well it's not difficult to understand how to put the cutting dies.
