5 Stars They came in a plastic bag with a German supplier/manufacturer's (? In use they work well and after cutting a few threads with them already - eighteen to be precise - they are baring up well. I Googled the material of these taps: GCr15.

I tested the M14 x 1. This set of taps came days before the first quoted date for delivery, so full marks there.

) name on but the taps were in a small plastic storage case - see photos. I was pleased to notice this is standard bearing steel, which is among the high quality carbon steel alloys with chromium and manganese among the ingredients. If you are DIY, tap by hand every now and then, and don't need industrial speeds, this will do the same as HSS steel - which cost a lot more.

So far I am both impressed with the speed of delivery plus the actual items as they feel quality and hopefully hardwearing for the future. Precision made and cut into hard steel well. 0; on a dowling jig I bought, and it cleaned up the rough surface of the drill bushing thread that was damaged.
