! Whether we use fresh cream or buttercream, or using only a good jam - the overall outcome of the recipe is very yummy. Lovely book, recipes are clear easy to read and understand, the idea's for something a little different just flow from the pages, if you want to learn baking this is a really good place to start, the choices are amazing.

250 classic recipes. Brilliant book. We have made the Victoria sponge 9 times in the last couple of months! The blueberry muffins and scones I have made so far turned out beautifully and I’m starting to become more adventurous.

Her recipes are very good. I have tried a number of large cakes also cupcakes and I am delighted with all the results so easy to follow the recipes l have now started collecting Mary Berry cake tins and found the quality out standing and so easy to clean

Loved the taste. Photos are many and very beautiful. Used to make a cheese cake , recommended by a Friend, easy recipe, very tasty can’t wait to try other recipes I’ve recently become a Great British Bake-off tragic and I bought this boom off the back of that.

The recipes are very clearly written and easy to follow. My only gripe is that there aren’t enough photos - not all the recipes have photos of the finished product. Here are my fudgy chocolate brownies.

Great. All along the recipes variations are suggested regarding the taste preferences like in the souffle recipe how you can make chocolate /orange /coffee souffle is mentioned in the same recipe. This book is good as it is written in a traditional style but I am disappointed that there are not very many pictures, but this possibly a good thing as in a way it lets your imagination finish off your cakes and bakes in your own style. Printing is very good quality using big and dark font size.
