Child's body temperature unable to regulate. Fits on adults too. Do all kids need a neck fan?

I’m not sure if mine is defective… each button speeds up the fan 1-3x but when I hit the 4th button it goes slow then fast then back down to slow. Be sure you have the fan facing upwards when putting the neck fan on. It is lightweight and fits most kids if not all.

Fan has 4 different settings (3 speeds, and a mix) quick charge and battery lasts as it should. But it isn't overly obnoxious.
