This books is fabulous, there is drama, there banter and there is a good dose of smut too! While this is a romantic comedy, the sex is a lot more in the general romance aka smutty category. Meanwhile, Georgie knows that she wants things in life that Travis doesn’t want to give her.

He needs a clean cut image to help land a new job and she needs someone to help rock the boat. The way she dressed just made him surer, and I think he would have gotten there sooner than later even if she didn’t change the way she dressed. Some things I loved👉Friends to lovers trope👉Fake dating trope👉Whitty banter👉The Just Us League was one of my fav parts of this book. Fortunately, we get just enough information that Travis hung out at Stephen and Georgie’s house a lot when they were younger to make this trope work okay, but it could have been done better.

And obviously sex has to be completely off-limits, especially since Georgie is a virgin. However, they didn’t seem to fit the lighter romantic-comedy feel the rest of the story had. The character growth is the foundation of Fix Her Up with the smexy being a secondary factor.

The events within Fix Her Up will have you melting into a puddle of goo – which is exactly what should happen when reading romance 😍 I found myself struggling to stick to our planned 120ish pages over 3 days and just wanted to devour it much like I HL&S.

But fake dating becomes hard when feelings get involved! Outside the sex scenes, Travis would talk to Georgie more as a friend. "You have to fight for what you deserve. Travis goes back to working for Georgie’s bother, but can’t cross the street without someone wanting a signature of a photo or a laugh.

Travis needs to build a better reputation and Georgie is determined not to be the “little sister” for the rest of her life so the pair decide to pretend to date. Well, first, the makeover trope doesn’t bother me. The brother’s sister trope: bad. Travis was always hanging around their house because he had a bad home life so she sees him all the time.

Overall, I loved Travis and Georgie’s relationship and really enjoyed this book! I've come to realise it's next to impossible to pace yourself with any Tessa book.
