Focus dial is smooth and offered just only a slightly stiff feel. As you will see in the photos, I also have a Chinese 10x60 binocular and the objects are much closer, but the equipment is heavy and it is difficult to find species in movement, like birds. The bundled straps are crap, I changed it out to a spare comfy camera strap instead. I am more than happy with the purchase.

The ED glass works quite well, CA is well controlled, and clarity is outstanding. For me its main use is birding, so I was doubtful if 8x42 would be enough. Compared to a Monarch 5, it's really hard to tell the difference in terms of optics.

Incredible binocular! Please consider in the photos that my hand is small, that's why I included so measurements with a ruler. Instead, these celestron binoculars solved both problems, as well as displaying a sharp image, without chromatic aberration.

Really comfy to hold, not as comfy asI wished it would come in green (we received a black version). Handling is great, with sufficient adjustable eye relief for glasses wearers.

Bought this as a personal set for my wife, and also because the original Nature DX had such great value.
