I've had no spillages from it and it's quite well made and lid fastens securely. I did a test with a full-size can of beans in an aluminium container (see picture).

He took it to work today, filled with Jacket potato, beans and a pot of grated cheese. I used it today for first time & was thrilled, except for my burnt tongue cos the food was so hot! When it got up to temperature it dropped down to 33w. I bought to my husband!

Takes about 1hour and 15 min to warm the food taken from fridge. Not crazy hot, but plenty hot enough to eat.

Sometimes I use it with a portable invertor and have it with me where I'm working as lunch breaks can be without notice, so as long as you put it on in advance your good to go! This has been a god send. Especially cooking inside when it's raining. I have a modest solar panel set up going into a Jackery 1000 power station so a small device like this is fine to heat up.
