About this deal
A fun, bright pop-up book about a monster who explores colour through his emotions. Or blue for sadness? From music lessons, to lunchtime, to making new friends, the Colour Monster's first day of school is filled with exciting new adventures. In the story, a young girl talks to her colour monster who is feeling all mixed up - and she helps sort out each of the colours and feelings by explaining what each feeling is, and how to associate it with colours. A spooky castle filled with terrifying animals? His emotions are all over the place; he feels angry, happy, calm, sad and scared all at once! It is a sensitive book that gently encourages young children to open up and discuss how they feel with family and caregivers, even when their thoughts are confusing. As this adorable monster learns to sort and define his mixed up emotions, he gains self-awareness and peace as a result. But we just opened this book out of its sealed packaging and have read it front to back at least six times in the last 10 minutes. There are pull tabs on one of the pages and I have to make sure he’s not pulling too hard!

It's illustrated so magically. Although my son can't read it now, I keep it for him to read later! 5 year old.
