The media could not be loaded. Perfect. After zipping through Firefly Lane pretty quickly, I was figuratively holding my breath when Fly Away arrived.

The death of Kate Ryan has hit her Family and friends very hard, Tully Hart her best friend has been on a downward spiral ever since, when she discovered Kate first had cancer, Tully walked off the set of her show ‘The Girlfriend Hour’ , leaving her career and the rest of her life in pieces, at the time Tully thought Kate would recover, get better but that wasn’t to be. I can't say much about what is in the book as it would give away important details of the first.

5 Stars for Fly Away by Kristin Hannah! I loved the characters, the details of their lives and the storyline. Marah Ryan is a grief stricken, guilt stricken and a very angry teenager, she believes that her mum hated her and feels so guilty that she never apologised or spoke to her mum about the troubles she gave her.

Believe it or not, I liked Fly Away more than Firefly Lane. However, many of the characteristics I love about her writing were woven throughout this book so beautifully. I've read so many books of hers in a row now, I'm going to have to will myself to attack my TBR list more aggressively. Tully ends up addicted to prescription medication and every day gets worse and worse mixed with a cocktail of alcohol and grief she’s a ticking time bomb.
I enjoyed this sequel to Firefly Lane almost as much as I enjoyed the first book. Spoilers and a Trigger Warning for a lot of topics which may be hard to read about.
