I definitely move faster with this one. And it has a needle threader right there. If you are having issues with heavy needles for GEMSY, it is probably the needle and not the machine. I definitely would recommend it.

The Organ Needles in 100/16 (for thicker materials) was so much sharper and slim line at the point. Very good for heavy duty items. I fold the ends over twice so the stitch has to go through 3x the layers. Thirdly, I've already made several things of different weights, including lightweight cottons, mending bath towels and working with upholstery materials, and I haven't had a single problem with the thread knotting/bunching up.

I use Pelon heat bond with a zigzag stitch. Sometimes, it would loop up under fabric and was difficult to cut loose.
