This food is brilliant for older, overweight dogs! Since changing him on to this food a month ago he has lost nearly 1kg, he now plays all time and doesn't stop. This product chosen following years of using Skinner's dog kibble (Working 23/Maintenance).

UPDATE- 11 months later he is back to original weight (losing 2. 5kg in 1 year)and still loving life at 12 years old. My dog wasn't sure on this to start with but I preserved for a couple of days and he now loves it. We have found Skinner's products reliable throughout his life, and the Light and Senior working dog food has proven to be just perfect for him at this stage of his life.

This has been a total game changer in his weight loss. He is overweight and I've struggled to keep him at his ideal weight since he was castrated but he still acted like a puppy most of the time so I'd overlooked the fact he was 11. His coat is lovely, soft and glossy.

As my dog has grown older, no longer works in the field, and, following injury from cattle attack, has arthritis in his right elbow joint, a less high calorie food has been necessary in order to control his weight.
